Assisting new teachers through the TxTRP program has so many wonderful benefits! New teachers receive feedback, ideas, and coaching in a non-threatening environment. Mentees gain valuable resources and skills, as well as opportunities to set and achieve personal/professional goals. This program isn’t only about empowering new teachers though! As a Mentor, I’ve developed better communication skills, made professional relationships with others, and have increased my self-confidence. Students benefit from a unified team, and have shown increased engagement in more meaningful and focused lessons.
