Teacher Incentive Allotment

TEA’s Vision

To support districts in independently building and sustaining strategic compensation systems that differentiate teacher effectiveness. These systems will incentivize teachers to stay, support more robust recruitment, and make the profession more desirable.

Regional Grant

Regional supports at Education Service Centers (ESCs) were established across Texas to help improve student and school district performance. ESCs work in partnership with TEA toward the following goals:

  1. More districts with TIA systems
  2. More teachers eligible for TIA within local systems
  3. Increased success rates with implementation and validation
  4. Increasing retention for TIA Designated teachers

ESCs are available to assist districts in bringing TIA to the district, help guide local designation system development and implementation and provide technical assistance.
