The Summit on Mathematics in a PLC at Work was helpful in some ways. Some things were applicable to both my campus, team, and students. From breakout sessions about coaching/leadership to lesson planning in a PLC and applying math in the classroom.

The Summit Conference was a great experience because it gave me additional tools to assess my students, as well as, revamp some of the everyday activities I use within my agenda.

I really enjoyed the Math at Work PLC conference and took so much of it with me to share with my class and teachers. We were able to explore research-affirmed daily instructional routines for engaging students in mathematical tasks aligned to their essential standards for unit-by-unit design, planning, and action. There was a focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 instruction that has and will impact my teaching approach with these small groups. I also had a chance to learn how to write high-quality common formative unit assessments and decide on next steps for the collaborative work and actions with my grade level teachers. The keynote speakers each day were knowledgeable and provided great insight on math in the classroom. I really enjoyed being able to choose what breakout sessions worked best for me. The only downside was the lack of refreshments or water during the conference. Overall, I learned a lot of techniques and strategies that I was able to implement in my classroom.
