This workshop will weave between grammar, writing and reading across the curriculum, using materials Gretchen has authored and adapted from STAAR released tests and live student STAAR essays. It will focus on kid-centered, healthy, authentic strategies, while containing serious STAAR preparation.

This was an excellent professional development. Gretchen Bernabei and her collaborators provided clear and effective strategies to promote student writing. All of the books that were included in the training were incorporated and fully explained by having hands on learning in the content and by also providing real world student examples using the strategies that were taught.
