Rick currently oversees field support for districts that partner with TxCEE to ensure continuity among training quality, process, and implementation. Prior to his current role, he served as a Leadership Training and Support Specialist. Rick has served the education community for 27 years. Before joining the TxCEE team, he worked as an elementary principal for 6 years. Rick also served as an elementary school, middle school, and district administrator. Prior to moving into educational administration, he taught second grade bilingual (English/Spanish), third grade ESL, as well as sixth and seventh grade math. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, with a concentration in Cross-Cultural Studies, from Whitworth University in Spokane, WA. He received his Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from California State University, San Bernardino.
