Recruiting, Retaining, and Rewarding High Quality Educators
District aligns human resource (HR) systems with sustainable practices to attract, retain, and reward effective educators particularly at the lowest achieving schools. Districts and IHEs engage in partnerships to build the teacher and leader pipeline.
Why is this important?
- Developing more robust, targeted, and multi-tier screening tools for selecting and hiring effective educators increases access to effective educators (Rockoff et al., 2011) and reduces educator attrition rates (Goldhaber, Grout, & Huntington-Klein, 2014; Ingersoll & Strong, 2011; Rockoff et al., 2011).
- Retaining and rewarding the most effective educators benefits students.
How can TxCEE help?
- Assist in creating or refining screening and selection tools to ensure that the most effective educators are hired for student success.
- Provide expertise in creating a Performance Based Compensation System (PBCS), or modifying an existing PBCS, to ensure that top talent is identified and rewarded through a sustainable solution.
